Dear church family,
We know the current situation is challenging and difficult for you all. Your families, workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods are likely all scrambling to make adjustments to prevent any further spread of the virus, while still continuing to operate in the best possible ways. We know these adjustments are stressful and difficult. And because we know you are making all of these sacrifices, we commend you for your faith and your love.
It will be wonderful when we can all be together again, shaking hands, exchanging hugs, and sharing the bread and cup of the Lord’s Supper. Unfortunately, the current recommendation from the government is that we not gather together in groups larger than 10 for the next few weeks. Out of love and concern for our neighbors and each one of you, the men of the congregation have chosen to respect this recommendation and not hold any gatherings at the church building for the next four Sundays (April 5 thru April 26).
Therefore; we will make the temporary transition to offering our worship services on Facebook Live and Bible studies through our website and we will not have any meetings or gatherings at the church building for these next four weeks. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and keep you informed of any changes.
In the meantime, here are some things you might want to consider:
-- You can call the church office weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 4 p.m. or any of the men to let us know about yourself or anyone you know who needs prayer, baptism or any assistance.
-- You can join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. on Facebook live
-- If you need to use Wi-Fi to listen to the sermon, the church parking lot has excellent coverage
-- You can listen to a recorded Wednesday evening Bible study on www.eielsonchurchofchrist.com
-- You can make contributions online via the church webpage (when activated), mail checks to the church office, contact Dean for instructions to transfer funds, or finally save your contributions until we meet again
-- You can always have communion at home with two or more Christian family members
You are all in our prayers during this challenging time. We all know this current situation is only temporary and we long to see you and embrace you when the time comes. Please let us know if we can minister to you in any way.
In Christian Love,
Men of the congregation
